Spring Camps and Programs Bring the Fun to Kids Plus

Check out all the amazing activities for kids this spring at Courts Plus and even plan ahead for summer by registering for summer camps! Courts Plus offers spring camps during spring break, March 28-April 1, as well as summer camps from June 6-August 19. Kids will play sports, games, go on field trips and can look forward to swimming in the summer.

Courts Plus Monthly Challenge - February

This month Courts Plus wants you to test your lower body strength with a 30 day squat challenge! After a month, you'll be feeling the burn, but hopefully be on your way to a fit and healthy body. To complete this monthly challenge, check out our squat challenge sheet below and make sure to set yourself up for successful squatting. Keep your knees behind the toes, slide your hips back as if you were sitting into a chair and keep your chest lifted.

Meet Andrew Gotsch, Courts Plus’ Newest Personal Trainer!

Andrew may look familiar to you as he has been a Courts Plus member and staff member for some time. Maybe you have seen Andrew working out, helping friends on the fitness floor or working with kids at the Fit 4 Life gym or climbing wall.  Andrew recently became an ACE certified personal trainer. He is currently in pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology, studying at the College of DuPage. Andrew lives a highly active lifestyle and is a dedicated member of the Courts Plus fitness community. His fitness experience includes bodyweight fitness and weightlifting.

Courts Plus Closing Early February 20 for Be A Kid Again FUNdraiser event

Saturday, February 20, 2016 - 18:00

On Saturday February 20, Courts Plus will close early at 6 p.m. in order to play host to The People for Elmhurst Parks Foundation's BE A KID AGAIN FUNdraiser event, which will take place from 7-10:30 p.m. on the Courts Plus Tennis Courts. 

This special event is raising funds for the Playground for Everyone,  a universal accessible playground which will allow children with special needs to fully access the playground and play alongside other kids. It is planned for construction at Butterfield Park in late summer 2016. 

Keeping Courts Plus Clean and Healthy

It is cold and flu season and the health of our members is very important to us! Please make sure to wipe down fitness equipment before and after use. Thank you for your help in making Courts Plus neat and clean!

'How To Live To Be 90' Heart Healthy Discussion

In honor of Heart Health Month, join us Wednesday, February 17 at 7 p.m. for a discussion on 'How to Live to be 90" with Life's Simple 7. The American Heart Association describes Life's Simple 7 as key health factors and behaviors that keep your heart healthy, lower your risks of heart disease and stroke and improve your quality of life. This discussion will be presented by Andrew Rauh, M.D., Cardiologist with the DuPage Medical Group.
