Randy Leslie is enthusiastic about his future. As a star high school athlete, he excelled and was looking forward to his first year playing college football. There was one problem, however. “The coaching staff had sent out a packet filled with workouts containing lifts I didn’t know existed,” said Leslie. He was overwhelmed and unsure about attempting the workouts on his own. He turned to online instructional videos on YouTube hoping they might help, but they didn’t. “Consequently,” Leslie says, “my form suffered and I was not seeing results.”

The 2016 Enterprise Services Capital budget includes funding to replace the lighting in the Courts Plus tennis court area with energy efficient LED lighting that will use one-third of the daily electricity usage of the current fixtures. This project will lower the District’s overall carbon footprint, resulting in reduced energy costs and a projected five-year return on investment. The project is tentatively scheduled to be completed during July 2016.
